Common questions

Which country's Schengen embassy should I apply to?

Apply to the embassy of the country where you will spend the most days. If your trip is split evenly, apply to the country you enter first.

How much money do I need per day for a Schengen visa?

Requirements vary by country. Germany usually asks for about €45 a day, and France around €65 a day. What matters most is showing that your total funds cover the whole stay and come from a stable source.

Is travel insurance mandatory for a Schengen visa?

Yes. Travel medical insurance with at least €30,000 in coverage is required for all Schengen visa applications. The policy has to be valid in every Schengen country for the length of your stay.

Why do Schengen visa applications get rejected?

The most common reasons are weak financial proof, limited ties to home, mismatched documents, insurance gaps, and incomplete forms.
